Some years I am scrambling last minute to see what I have around the house to make Father's Day special for my husband. An easy way is to make him an awesome breakfast with all the foods he loves. In this case, bacon! (Nitrate-free bacon, though! That is all we have in our house, since it is the healthiest way to go.) Here are some cute ideas you can do to help celebrate your husband or Dad with food.
I asked him what he wanted for breakfast on Father's Day and the only answer he gave me was, "BACON!"
I am going to spell Dad using bacon. Lay it out on a wire rack on top of a baking sheet. Shape it into the letters you want "DAD" and allow it to bake in that shape. Bake at 400F for 10-20 minutes depending on your oven. What a fancy surprise as you serve this to him.
I plan on making him French toast, which I know is one of his favorites. But I wanted to do a practice run on spelling out "Dad" with powdered sugar first. All you need is some cardstock paper, a pen, and scissors to spell and cut out the letters.
In this demo I did it over a black plate so I could see how effective the powdered sugar would be.
Grab a sifter lay down your letters how you want them and sift the sugar over the top.
Once finished, carefully remove the cardstock letters and there you go! This will work great over pancakes too.

And if you notice the tool kit in the background and the tape measure, I downloaded the printables from this super cute template. Trish and I made these together. You can google to find cute ideas as well.
Just remember, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach! Hope you have fun celebrating Father's Day this year. Happy Cooking!
